12 Ways to Glorify God at Work

God has ordained work as a stewardship of His created world (Genesis 1:28; 2:15). He has designed work for His glory and our good. But how might we glorify God at work? This list is not exhaustive, but here’s at least 12 ways —

1. Believe that all legitimate work is holy or unholy before God based on our faith, not the nature of the work itself.
But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin (Romans 14:23).

2. Be just and honest in all your dealings with money.
A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is His delight (Proverbs 11:1)

3. Be prayerfully dependent upon God, pouring contempt on self-sufficiency.
Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 4:17)
Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain (Psalms 127:1).

4. Use the wages earned by your work to provide for and bless others.
But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever (1Timothy 5:8).
Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need (Ephesians 4:28).

5. Grow in your skill-set, work hard, and strive for excellence.
Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men (Proverbs 22:29).
In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty (Proverbs 14:23).
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

6. Exemplify love for your neighbor in how you interact with your colleagues.
Let all that you do be done in love (1 Corinthians 16:14).

7. Plan ahead and sincerely preface future tasks with “if God wills.”
Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house (Proverbs 24:27).
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that” (James 4:13-15)

8. Speak the gospel to your colleagues.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20).

9. Work as unto the Lord and as unto men.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ (Colossians 3:23-24).
Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust (1 Peter 2:18 ).

10. Focus on the work you’ve been given.
Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty (Proverbs 28:19).

11. Speak words of grace.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29)

12. Rest in your justification by faith alone in Christ alone.
yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified (Galatians 2:16).

4 Steps To God

1. God Loves You!
The Bible says, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life"

2. All of us have done, said or thought things that are wrong. This is called sin, and our sins have separated us from God.
The Bible says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God is perfect and holy, and our sins separate us from God forever. The Bible says “The wages of sin is death.”

3. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.
Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. “God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”
Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life -- of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."
God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be His child. "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name." You can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come in to your life as your Lord and Savior.

4. If you want to accept Christ as Savior and turn from your sins, you can ask Him to be your Savior and Lord by praying a prayer like this:
"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life.  I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."

No Greater Cost…

When God created the universe—all the solar system, the galaxies, the stars, the sun, our world, and the moon—it cost Him nothing. God created each with joy. He spoke, and it was done. All of that cost God nothing.

When God created man, it cost Him nothing.
Yet it cost Him everything to save one lost soul!
Think about it! That is why the cry of God's heart will always be souls, souls, SOULS! Jesus Christ gave His life for souls to be saved.
The most precious thing in the sight of God is a life. One soul is more precious to Him than all of creation and all the billions of angels of heaven.
One life!
That is why Jesus died. That is why He came to earth—to give His life for you, me, and every man and woman, young person, boy and girl, on Planet Earth.
No Angel Can Preach the GospelAnd the awesome truth is, He has given people like you and me the responsibility to tell lost souls about Jesus Christ and the salvation He has provided for them.
No angel in heaven has ever been commanded to preach the Gospel. No angel in heaven has ever heard the command, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).
No angel in heaven can preach the Gospel, because the blood of Jesus was not shed for the angels. The angels cannot preach the Gospel, for how can they preach what they have not experienced themselves? How can they preach the Gospel when they have not known the joy of redemption?
No angel can look up to God and say, "Thank You, Lord, for saving my soul." No angel can say to God, "Thank You for changing my life," or "Thank You for coming into my heart."
Yet today you and I can look up and say, "Thank You for saving my soul; thank You for touching my life; thank You for making me whole!"
God's Son shed His blood and gave His life for humanity, not for the angels. They cannot give away what they have not experienced.
God Cannot Preach What We CanNot only can the angels not preach the Gospel, they also can't be witnesses of the power of the cross. Even God Himself cannot be a witness of the power of His own cross.
Think about it! Not even Jesus can testify what the cross has done for Him. Sin never touched Him, so He cannot stand and say as we can, "Once I was lost, but now I am found. Once I was a sinner, but now I have been cleansed by the blood."
He shed His blood, yet that blood was not shed for Himself! It was shed for you, for me, and for every soul on Planet Earth.
He gave you and me the great privilege to tell others about salvation through Him.
Not the angels. Not God Himself. No one can do what you and I can do. What an awesome, amazing truth! Only you and I can stand before the world and say, "Once I was lost, but now I am found."
And only sinners saved by grace have been given the privilege to tell the world Jesus saves, Jesus saves, JESUS SAVES!
Now Is the Time
But our time is running out. The nations of the world are ready to receive the Gospel as never before. The doors are wide open, now more than ever. We have to tell the world now!Girl_praising
When Cornelius was in prayer (Acts 10), the angel came and said to call for Peter (verse 5). The angel did not, could not tell the message of salvation through the blood. Peter then traveled from Joppa to Caesarea for one reason—to tell Cornelius the Gospel.
There are millions out there in the world, like Cornelius, who are calling out for God, seeking answers, and pleading for deliverance. They are looking for hope, but no hope is in sight. They are begging for answers, but no answers are found. They are searching for light, yet they are imprisoned in darkness.
It is our duty, job, and privilege to travel to that place where that dear soul is crying out. It is our responsibility to tell them that Jesus Christ is the Answer. It is our calling to preach the Gospel to them before it is eternally too late.
So many have never heard the Gospel, nor will they unless someone tells them. Not all are able to watch our program on television. Millions are too poor to buy a television set. We must go and tell them, and I am going! Through your gifts, you are going with me!

What We Believe

  1. That there is one God, who has always lived and will always live in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
  2. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth and in His sinless life. We believe that He died to restore our relationship with the Father, was raised again and is now seated in Heaven. We also believe that He will return again to earth one day to Jerusalem as Sovereign Lord of all.
  3. The whole Bible, Old and New Testaments, to be inspired by God and therefore without error. It is the Word of God to us, by which we can learn of His character and plan for our lives.
  4. That all people are born without a relationship with God, as a result of Adam's disobedience. That God desires to have a relationship with all people and that anyone can have this relationship by recognizing that their relationship with God is broken and accepting that Jesus, the Son of God, died to repair that relationship.
  5. That God is all-powerful and is as capable of performing miracles as He has always been. Works of healing in body soul and mind are within His power. The greatest miracle of all is the free healing and cleansing of our souls, enabling us to be restored in our relationship with God through confession and repentance accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  6. That the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it and the personal act of baptism by immersion.
  7. In the power of the Holy Spirit and His works according to scripture.
  8. In the raising from the dead, resurrection, of both the saved (those who have believed in Christ) and the lost (those who have not), the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto resurrection of everlasting judgement and condemnation.

Spiritual Life

Jesus Helps us Find God's Will

1 Thessalonians 5:18 declares, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." You cannot, in other words, know God's will apart from Christ Jesus.

Anytime I communicate with people through books, crusades, broadcasts, or one-on-one, I realize that people come from a variety of backgrounds. Perhaps you have been a dedicated Christian longer than I've been alive. Others - perhaps you- have never heard the Gospel before and are desperately seeking answers for questions you thought you'd never be asking.

Here's a basic starting point for everyone, regardless of background, education, or culture. The first step toward knowing God's will for your life is to make sure that you have Jesus living in your heart.

If you haven't done so already, is there any good reason why you cannot receive Jesus Christ into your heart right now? If you are willing to let go of your burdens and challenges, and if you will repent of your sins and recognize Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can accept Him at this very moment.

The Holy Spirit of Promise
Paul declared that those who trusted Christ as their Savior are "sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance" (Ephesians 1:13-14).

He is the "Holy Spirit of promise." That is the promised Spirit. The Lord Jesus promised in the Upper Room Discourse that He would send the Holy Spirit, but the Lord Jesus made the promise in conjunction with the Father.

He is called the Holy Spirit, the One, "whom the Father will send in my name" (John 14:26). He also said, "I will send unto you from the Father,…which proceedeth from the Father" (John 15:26). Thus the Holy Spirit was promised by the Father as well, and is termed in Acts 1:4, "the promise of the Father."

Because of their faith in the words of the Father and the Son, that early band in Jerusalem took God at His word and waited for the Holy Spirit. And God did not disappoint them.

"God said it. I believe it. That settles it."Don't ever forget that "God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19).

Some people would have you believe that God's Word, the Bible isn't true, or isn't completely true. Regardless of how they articulate their words, what they're doing is calling each member of the godhead a liar.

It's an old saying but a true one: "God said it. I believe it. That settles it." Just like the expectant followers in the Upper Room, take Him at His word in everything He says.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is a promise that one day we will receive all that has been promised and prepared for us: a new body, a new nature, and a new home. The Holy Spirit living within us is demonstrating, moment-by-moment, that God will one day present us with the full measure of our inheritance.

Important Steps of Salvation

The Bible declares: "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).
Giving you abundant life required the supreme sacrifice: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
God desires fellowship and companionship with you. What a wonderful gift the Father has given, yet if God gave His own Son to provide an abundant and everlasting life, why don’t more people have what He has designed for us to receive? It is a question answered by this sobering realization.

There is a gap between God and mankind. He has provided a way for us to receive an abundant and eternal life, but people throughout the ages have made selfish choices to disobey God Almighty. These choices continue to cause separation from the Father.
God’s Word shows us that the result of sin is death. He says in His Word: "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12).
And God also said, "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear" (Isaiah 59:2).
Paul the apostle states in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
And in Romans 6:23 we read: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Every human was created with the ability and need to know God and fellowship with
Him. Augustine, a minister who lived during the fourth and fifth centuries, called this longing in each of us "that God-shaped vacuum."
Every day we hear of people who are rich, famous, achievers, star athletes—people who seem to have the best life can offer—yet they try to fill that empty void in their lives with "things." They even try good works, morality, and religion. Yet they remainempty, for only God, through His Son, can fill that emptiness.

Jesus Christ, His Son, is the only way to God. Only He can reconcile us to God the Father. Mankind may seek other solutions and worship other gods, but Jesus Christ, alone, died on the Cross for our sins and rose in triumph over the grave and eternal death. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and mankind.
The Bible explains: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
We are also told, "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God" (1 Peter 3:18).
There is only one way provided: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
For in John 14:6 we read, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." God Almighty has provided the only way. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sin and rebellion against God by dying on the cross, shedding His blood, and rising from the dead to justify and reconcile you back to God the Father.

You can be brought back to God, and your relationship with Him can be restored by trusting in Christ alone to save your life from destruction. What an incredible exchange: Your worst for God’s best!
This step happens by asking Jesus Christ to take away your sin and to come into your heart to be your Lord and Savior.
God’s Word is very clear: "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20).
And the Bible tells us, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).
Are you willing to let go of your burdens and sins?
Are you willing to turn away and repent from your sins?
Are you willing to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior now?

At this moment you can pray the most important prayer of your life by simply saying:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You came to earth 2,000 years ago. I believe you died for me on the cross and shed Your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead and ascended on high. I believe You are coming back again to earth. Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. Forgive my sin. Cleanse me now with Your precious blood. Come into my heart. Save my soul right now. I give you my life. I receive You now as my Savior, my Lord, and my God. I am Yours forever, and I will serve You and follow You the rest of my days. From this moment on, I belong to You only. I no longer belong to this world, nor to the enemy of my soul. I belong to You, and I am born again.
Amen!
By praying this prayer, confessing your sins, and receiving Jesus Christ into your heart, God has given you the right to become His forgiven child. The Bible gives you this assurance: "But as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe on his name" (John 1:12).
If you have just received Jesus Christ into your life, we want to rejoice with you.

Salvation Prayer

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.

Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins and always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself and giving me eternal life.
Amen.
